Sunny Wang Weds Dominique Choy

Sunny Wang, 34, famous for his character in the Taiwanese drama “In Time With You”, is an up and rising star in the Taiwanese media industry. He recently tied the knot with his fiancee, 30 year-old Taiwan-based Australian singer, Dominique Choy. Their intimate wedding ceremony was held at a 140-year-old Swifts mansion in Darling Point, Sydney, with about 250 family members and friends attending. Their guests were flown to Australia with all expenses paid to celebrate their union as husband and wife.

The pair first met each other in 2005. After an initial break up, they got back together last year. Their love grew even stronger and Wang proposed to Choy at her 29th birthday party. Wang used loose diamonds to personally design a ring for the proposal. The two were said to be very compatible as they share similar educational background and common interests in music, nature and sports.

Wang and Choy’s grand outdoor wedding features an elegant and rustic theme against an ethereal backdrop of a countryside manor adorned with crystal chandeliers and lush white floral designs along the aisle. Choy made her entrance on a horse-drawn carriage, and the couple exchanged vows beneath a century-old tree instead of the conventional wedding arch, which elevated the magical, fairytale garden theme.

As expected of this equally stunning celebrity couple, the pair were dressed in ravishing and dazzling outfits for their romantic wedding. Choy wore a stunning tailor-made A-line wedding gown with illusion sleeves, lace details and a forty-foot train, which she co-designed with a Taiwanese bridal designer. Wang looks absolutely dashing in a black and white Italian couture tuxedo.

The entire wedding ended off with a full 5-minutes display of fireworks during the dinner reception.

Envious about Huang Xiaoming and Angelababy’s $31 million extravagant wedding ceremony? Did you know that Huang is always ready to shower his girlfriend with gifts, pampering her like a little princess? Other than the usual roses and chocolate cakes, Huang had prepared many surprises for Angelababy before. In one year, he covered the entire bed and floor with rose petals while she was sleeping at his house in Qingdao, China. On last year’s Valentine’s Day, the two went to Yonghe Temple in Beijing to pray for peace and harmony. This Valentine’s Day, you may want to consider going to a temple with your other half. One good temple to visit is the Yueh Hai Ching Temple (also known as Love Temple) at Raffles Place, where you can pray for happiness and an everlasting relationship.

Christine Fan & Blackie Chen

A handmade gift is the most meaningful gift you can ever give to someone. On one Valentine’s Day, Christine Fan specially went to learn how to make a cake from her friend who runs a dessert shop. She baked a heart-shaped chocolate cake decorated with strawberries and sprinkled with gold lustre dust for an added sparkle. A chocolate cake was chosen to match her boyfriend’s name “Blackie”. Fan had a lot of fun applying chocolate cream layer by layer. In truth, sweet delicacies are not Chen’s cup of tea, but Fan made the cake in hopes that he would appreciate this act of love. Blackie showered Fan with love by buying her presents such as cupcakes, an iPod Touch and a Louis Vuitton bag for Valentine’s Day.

Lady Gaga & Taylor Kinney

Yes, some of you might squeal with cheesiness after hearing this. Lady Gaga got engaged last year after her boyfriend of 4 years, actor Taylor Kinney, proposed to her on Valentine’s Day with a dazzling heart-shaped diamond ring. After Gaga said “Yes!”, the couple proceeded to celebrate their engagement over dinner at her family restaurant, Joanne Trattoria. It seems that proposing on Valentine’s Day is nothing like a bad romance (pun intended), so if your special someone does not mind cheesy surprises, this might just turn out to be the best way for both of you to spend the most momentous Valentine’s Day ever!

Jimmy Lin & Kelly Chen

This Valentine’s, you can also lock your love away forever at Singapore’s very own designated “Locks of Love” space, located just outside Clarke Quay Central. Take a quiet saunter along the walkway facing the Singapore River, before the two of you proceed to pledge your love for each other by affixing a padlock onto the grille with your names or initials inscribed on it. There is also a 3.4m high heart-shaped structure that you can put your locks on. Remember to throw the key away after you are done to symbolise unbreakable love. You can even think of creative things to lock away (e.g. love letters, pictures).
