Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Fall 2015 Collection

A couple of weeks back we blogged about Disney’s upcoming wedding dress inspired by Elsa from Frozen (if you missed it, read it here) — the dress is finally here! Designer Alfred Angelo has just unveiled his new collection for Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Fall 2015, and the much coveted Elsa dress was definitely the highlight of the collection, on top of other updated styles for everyone’s favourite Disney princesses. Check out the pictures below!

The anticipated Elsa dress definitely stole the show. Apart from the iconic icy blue, Alfred Angelo has also designed an ivory version for brides who still want to wear a white dress on their big day. The Elsa dress walked down the runway as snow flakes descended on the show venue, and youtube star Lexi Walker gave a live rendition of Frozen’s famed theme song, Let It Go.

Priced at US$1,399, the Elsa dress features a sheath silhouette and is crafted from layers of organza, tulle and satin. The highlight of the dress is also its “swirling sequin effect”, which takes after the image of flowing snow surrounding the bride.

Ariel

What better silhouette for the Ariel dress than the beautiful mermaid? The stunning ocean blue dress with its fitted bodice and tulle skirt definitely is a great update on the classic Ariel look!

Belle

The light yellow Belle dress features layers of gossamer tulle that are arranged daintily from the waist-down, bringing to mind images of cupcakes — a delicious dress indeed! Alfred Angelo also took the idea of a cute and feminine dress further with a sweetheart neckline and beaded flower at the waist.

Cinderella

We here at Wedding & Travel think the Cinderella dress is the one dress from this collection that is most ‘princessy’, from the classic definition! Priced at US$1,949, the dress is covered with handmade beads that give it a subtle sheen, as a reference to Cinderella’s glass slipper. The illusion neckline is also one of 2015’s hottest bridal fashion trends!

Aurora

The lovely Aurora dress is a soft and dreamy piece that draws inspiration from the baby pink hue of the Disney princess’s dress in the Sleeping Beauty animation. A sweetheart neckline and a chiffon flower at the waist also makes this dress perfect for feminine and romantic brides.

Snow White

Finally, the show-stopper piece from this collection is no doubt the crimson red Snow White dress. Going against the innocent image we have of Snow White, Alfred Angelo chose to draw inspiration from the colour of the poisonous apple to make the Snow White dress a glamourous and dramatic ball gown. Priced at US$1,249, the dress features a crystal-beaded waistline and a handmade rose cathedral train.
