Oscar de la Renta has long been one of our favourite big name bridal labels around, and if what we see on his Spring 2015 runway is anything to go by, it looks like 2015 will be a beautiful and breezy year for bridal fashion.

Sunny beach babes will be thrilled to know that it seems like boho is here to stay for 2015. Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2015 collection features a couple of cool resort bridal looks — first, a flattering A-line eyelet embroidered dress, then a show-stopping two-piece embroidered bikini, paired with an eyelet pareo. Maybe this is a precursor to a boom in destination weddings in the coming year?

Avid Oscar de la Renta fans will also not be disappointed by his offerings this season for more conventional weddings. Fans will be delighted, as usual, with the designer’s signature romantic and feminine creations that are crafted lovingly from Chantilly lace, silk chiffon and so on. Refreshing though, is how Oscar de la Renta has updated the looks to reflect the current 1930s boom in bridal fashion — we see emphasis placed on the shoulders and neck, particularly in the looks that envelope the models’ arms delicately with materials such as tulle and feathers. The bold styling of bejewelled accessories is also a homage to the glamour of the 1930s.

After ogling at the bridal looks, a peek at the flower girl dresses was more than enough to get us gushing about how adorable the little girls looked. Understanding full well that the innocence of children needs little further embellishment, the label kept things simple with beautifully crafted pieces that are ethereal and airy, further enhancing their angelic disposition.
