We’ve been a fan of Rivini for as long as we can remember for the simple luxury the label evokes in its impeccable designs. While Rivini’s dresses feature clean modern silhouettes, they notably do not compromise on the romance of weddings — designer Rita Vinieris complements her dresses with feminine details such as understated beading, soft tucks and pleats, and a skillful mix of fabrics, all of which echo Vinieris’ sublime interpretation of luxury.
For Rivini’s Spring 2014 collection titled Return to Paradise, we were delighted to spot the label’s signature fluid silhouettes among the pieces. Moreover, we were absolutely blown away by the lovely hand beading that we spotted on a couple of dresses — Vinieris shared that the collection was inspired by her trip to Rivieria Maya with her family, where she collected sea shells that came in beautiful shades of coral, sand and mother of pearl. We presume the inspiration for the colour palette and gorgeous beading must have come from these sea shells!
We also loved the show-stopper piece (first picture above), which featured a full sheer lace panel for the bodice — a bold trend that is apparently making waves on the 2014 runways. The drama continues waist down as well, with an asymmetrical cake design for the skirt. Another popular trend that makes an appearance in Rivini’s Spring 2014 collection is the mermaid silhouette, once again cementing our belief that this is definitely the one hottest bridal fashion trend for this year!
Cut from fine materials such as lush silk satins, crepes, chiffon and organza, there is no doubt about the quality and workmanship a Rivini dress embodies. Together with its modern aesthetic that does not lose its feminine edge, there is no doubt why the label remains one of the most loved bridal fashion brands around.
