As a pro-democracy protest on how to elect the city’s leader in 2017 causes a rift among the citizens of Hong Kong, there are others who have found unity in the event. The demonstration – which is the city’s worst riot since its return to Chinese rule in 1997 – has become the background for a few marriage proposals and wedding photos.
