2. The Holiday

Looking at the stellar line-up which includes rom-com darling Cameron Diaz, award-winning actress Kate Winslet, hearthrob Jude Law and funny-man Jack Black, you can already tell that The Holiday is a winner. In this film, Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet are two heartbroken women who agree to exchange homes during the holiday season to get away from their sad predicaments. The temporary escape proves to be more than what they originally set out for, as they each meet a local man and experience love again.

3. It’s a Wonderful Life

It’s a Wonderful Life (1946) is one of the most-loved classic Christmas movies of all time, and is based on the short story “The Greatest Gift” by Philip Van Doren Stern. James Stewart plays George Bailey, a despondent man who has given up his dreams to help others. As he tries to end his life on Christmas Eve, his guardian angel had no choice but to step in and help him pick himself up. Definitely a heartwarming and inspirational choice for this holiday season.
