After a most stylish wedding in Los Angeles last November (if you missed our entry on that, click here), Mandopop singer Vanness Wu and his Singaporean wife Arissa Cheo celebrated their union again with a pre-wedding party on (4-Jan) followed by a formal wedding reception last night (5-Jan) here in Singapore’s St Regis Hotel.

Just like how much we loved the newlyweds’ punk-rock pre-wedding photos, the VA wedding reception in Singapore, which continues the theme of ‘fairytale’, exudes every bit of the stylish newlyweds. Not just that, the local dinner is blessed with even much more star power!
The Wedding Look: Alike the LA wedding reception, Vanness is dashingly suited up in black but leaves most of the fashion spotlight to his lady. Having showcased two most beautiful gowns previously, Arissa similarly chose two gowns for Singapore. From pictures online, the svelte bride had on a white off-shoulder fishtail number and a purplish blue dress.
The Wedding Invite: Purple and the logo representing the couple ‘VA’ can be seen on the wedding invites, but for the Singapore guests, there seems to be newly added unicorn illustrations. (Photo Credits: Arissa Cheo’s Instagram)
The Guests: The intimate and heavily private reception in LA saw only two celebrities, the groom’s childhood friend Jimmy Hung, son of Hong Kong action star Sammo Hung and Mandopop singer Elva Hsiao, who doubled up as wedding singer.
For Singapore, the former turned up in support while the latter was replaced by singer Wang Lee Hom, who belted out on stage his own romantic ballad ‘Only You’ 《唯一》 for the couple. Lee Hom who shocked the entertainment world with his own marriage end of last year, was accompanied by his wife Li Jinglei, who was described by guests present as “very pretty”.

F4 fans who are disappointed at the no-show of other members for the previous banquet can take comfort with photos showing Jerry Yan amongst the attendees in Singapore. Below is the shot the popular member took with Vanness’ sister.
Netizens have also been circling out more celebrities from this group photo. Jaycee Chan, son of Jackie Chan, as well as Taiwanese model Lan Jun Tian took time off to give their blessings to the couple.
