The Inspiration

Get the best of both worlds: a seaside wedding with air- conditioning at the Changi Beach Club — a match made in heaven that beats the heat.

Creating the Theme

This occasion calls for a clever use of white and pink -colours long synonymous with purity and romance —to marry well with the surrounding aquamarine. A wedding pavilion is erected with white fluid drapes and a pair of stately roman pillars, set against the unmatchable view of a blue horizon, idyllic boardwalk and island landscape. The pavilion is dressed up with voluminous floral arrangements that sport big heads of tightly intertwined pink, fuchsia and burgundy flowers. Thanks to the full-length windows, there is little for you to do here, except to let the unblocked vista do the talking.

At venues like Sea Bliss where you can play with the warm glow of natural sunlight, little rainbows are created within the restaurant by adding crystal glass features and decorations to refract the rays – a simple touch to make your special day like none other.

Treat your guests to an interesting fusion of Chinese and Western canapés, such as Olive Smoked Salmon on Bread, Tuna Mousse in Pastry Shell, Crab Meat Strawberry Mayo, Crispy Seaweed Roll, Crispy Bread Prawn Roll, Greenland Shrimps with Fruit Salad, Shrimps with Melon Wasabi Mayo and Scallop on Shell Florentine.

In honour of the bride, a four-tiered cake fashioned like a wedding dress complete with “gathers” and white blooms graced the canapés table. Slim bottles and milky candle holders are added to give the canapés table more dimensions.

The choice of matte gold napoleon chairs with comfortable maroon cushions serves to glam up the settings with a third colour that does not clash with the colour theme.
