Around Greater Taipei (台北縣)
Xinshan Lake of Dreams (新山夢湖)
The ethereal Lake of Dreams has long been one of the hottest locations for pre-wedding pictures in Taiwan and it’s not hard to understand why. Serene and soothing, the lake exudes an otherworldly charm that has enchanted countless couples over the years.
Jingtong Train Station (菁桐火車站)
The picturesque terminal station of the Pingxi Branch Rail Line is a quiet two hours away from the hustle and bustle of Taipei city and well worth the trip. Expect to find rustic wooden architecture from the town’s more prosperous days as well as other nostalgic sights for your wedding photos.
North Coast / Northeast Coast (北海岸 /東北海岸)
With no lack of Taiwan’s premium beaches, the North Coast is literally a treasure cove of sand, sea and surf. For the ideal backdrop to complement the snap-worthy natural landscapes, look to the numerous Greek-inspired buildings located along the seafront.
White Sand Bay (白沙灣)
One of the two most famous beaches of Taiwan’s north coast, White Sand Bay is a popular choice among Taiwanese couples for its convenient location a short drive from Taipei City and its exceptional beauty.
Shihmen Wedding Plaza (幸福石門、石門婚紗廣場)
Facing the open sea, the Shihmen Wedding Plaza was specially conceptualised as a wedding photography garden to attract overseas couples to take their pre-wedding pictures at Taiwan’s North Coast. And an investment well made, we say; just look at the Greek and Mediterranean-inspired buildings and you’ll get what we mean.
Used as the set for one of the scenes in Jay Chou’s Secret in which the male lead sends the female lead home on a bicycle, Linshanbi Cape likewise boasts glorious views of the open sea and is located near Taiwan’s northernmost point.
A friendly mainly alfresco café along Sanzhi’s beach Bossa Nova’s furnishing will remind you of the tropics and Mediterranean Sea. The café by night is equally charming with its soft lighting and the sound of waves all around.

Jinshan Beach (金山海濱浴場)
The other of the two most famous beaches along Taiwan’s north coast, Jinshan Beach is another gorgeous location that is well-loved by Taiwanese couples. Coming at different times of the day, the expressive beach creates a range of different moods that will be sure to have you and your partner enamoured.
Feicui Bay / Jade Bay / Green Bay (翡翠灣)
This vast stretch of beach at Feicui Bay is one of Wanli’s most popular attractions and has been developed into a bustling resort area.
The Yeliou Scenic Area is famous for its weathered rock formations, one of which includes the iconic Queen’s Head. Enjoy the sharp contrast of the curious shapes against the breathtaking blue of the sky and sea.
Lovers Lake Park (情人湖公園)
Fall in love with this tranquil lake that is one of Keelung’s prime tourist attractions. Within the park, also find plenty of other picture-worthy spots along the footpath, suspension bridge and so on.

Ta Shee Blooming Oasis (大溪花海農場)
As the largest farm in northern Taiwan with a variety of vibrant blooms all year round, Ta Shee welcomes countless couples every year for their pre-wedding photo shoots. If there’s anything that will tell you about Ta Shee’s popularity and beauty, it’s the fact that the farm has often been selected as a filming location for Taiwanese dramas and MTVs. Check out the likes of My Secret Garden 2, Mean Girl Ah Chu and Jay Chou’s Sea of Flowers MTV for a preview. Couples are only required to pay the entrance fee of NT100 (weekdays) / NT 150 (weekends) to shoot on the grounds.
Fall in love with the endless fields of sunflowers at Sun&Green, sure to evoke images of summers and sunshine in your mind. And we’re not the only ones enthralled, as the farm has also been featured regularly on Taiwanese television, including the hit drama The Rose, MTV by popular female singer Fish Leong, and high-rating variety shows by Jacky Wu. Do note that the farm is closed on Mondays.
The people at Furano Sheep wants you to feel happiness on its grounds and we’re betting that won’t be hard when you arrive on the laidback rolling green of the farm. Apart from lush grasslands and fluffy sheep, expect to find a tranquil bamboo grove as well as a garden with blooms the colour of the rainbow.
Painted in shades of striking white and blue, this well-known coffeehouse’s Greek-inspired architecture is what makes it a favourite with couples. Combine work and play by scheduling your itinerary such that you get to enjoy a relaxing lunch break in the cosy interiors after your photo shoot.
Love Story Building (大溪愛情故事館)
Home to a small collection of European-style buildings, the Love Story Building is specially conceptualised and put together by the loving owners as a memento of their trip to Europe. You’ll be sure to feel as amorous as the owners, with the constant references to love all around the grounds.
As part of the Nanliao 17km Coastline Scenic Area (十七公里海岸線), Nanliao Fishing Harbour is a laidback spot that offers Mediterranean-style architecture alongside the pristine sea. For a little of that playful touch, ride along the coastal boardwalks in your gowns and suits as part of the shoot.
Lavender Cottage (熏衣草森林)
The quaint Lavender Cottage is reminiscent of gorgeous sceneries from Korean dramas, with brightly coloured chairs, a huge teddy bear on the lawn, and yes, ubiquitous lavender all around.
