The Asian Food Channel (AFC), together with Del Monte Asia and co-sponsors Kitchen Culture and SCS, will be premiering the first season of A Party Affair – AFC’s first locally produced program featuring Singaporean celebrity chef, Willin Low, on Wednesday, 20th November 2013 at 9.00pm on StarHub, Channel 435.

Chef Willin making Kueh Pie Tee

Throughout the series, get tips on how to host one-of-a-kind parties with Chef Willin as he whips up fuss-free and tasty party food in a blend of Asian and Western influences. As he put it, “Singapore is the ideal place for fusion food as we truly understand both Asian and Western cultures and not only one Asian culture, but the many different Asian cultures.”
In line with the premiere, AFC held a cooking demo session for the media, where Chef Willin showcased 2 different types of Kueh Pie Tee. “I usually cook by taste, which drives my assistant chefs mad when they try to replicate my recipes.” But the recipes do get quantified, and we have the Kueh Pie Tee recipes and the recipes from the first episode here just for our readers.

Well be hungry no more as Hippopotamus will feed you good with their extensive menu which consists of the widest selections of cuts from well-known sirloin, tenderloin and ribs to the rare hanger and skirt steaks. Both hanger and skirt steaks are known for their rich flavours and rarity as each cow only has one cut of these meats which is served in two portions in restaurants.
And if you want to catch Chef Willin live, do visit his restaurant, Wild Rocket, before it closes at the end of November as he’ll be taking a hiatus before starting a new outlet next year.
