12 months to go	Set wedding date.
	Discuss with parents, in-laws and partners on wedding expectations.
	Choose officiant.
	Book ROM date & ceremony venue.
	Set wedding budget.
	Source for reception & banquet venues.
	Organise and file all important documents systematically. Keep an expenses file.

6-12 months to go	Confirm & book all venues.
	Select attendants - bridesmaid, best man etc and brief on duties.
	Plan music selection.
	Select bridal boutique and apparel for the day.
	Search for stylists and makeup artists.
	Shop for attendants' attire.
	Shop for accessories.
	For those planning a religious ceremony, book venue and religious officiant.
	Research and book photographer/ videographer.

4-6 months to go	Draw up your tentative guest list.
	Final confirmation on venues and officiant.
	Confirm your hair and makeup stylists.
	Ensure gowns and suits are ready for photography.
	Have studio/ outdoor photography taken.
	Choose and buy wedding rings.
	Start planning honeymoon.

2-4 months to go	Print wedding cards.
	Confirm banquet menu details. Remember to make arrangements for guests who are vegetarian or take Halal food.
	Go through your plans with your religious officer if any. Ask about any fees payable.
	Confirm travel arrangements and hotel bookings for honeymoon.
	Order wedding favours for attendants.
	Select wine.

1-2 months to go	Mail wedding invites.
	Have a final fitting for gowns and suits.
	Ensure attire for attendants will be on time.
	Finalise transport, flowers and music arrangements.
	Arrange for a ceremonial rehearsal if any.
	Prepare tokens and fees.
	Select photos for your wedding albums.
	For those with overseas guests, arrange logistics and brief them on local wedding customs.

2 weeks to go	Confirm dinner attendance.
	Confirm dinner menu and special diet menus.
	Confirm final programme for dinner.
	Finalise flower arrangements.

1 week to go	Run through of actual day customary formalities.
	One last fitting of gowns and suits.
	Have a rehearsal with all attendants.
	Go for a relaxing massage and spa for the both of you to de-stress from wedding preparations!
